Volunteer
Volunteer festival weekend
LFOA is powered by hundreds of dedicated community members who bring the festival to life each year. Friendly, excited volunteers are needed all weekend for various tasks, such as helping with admission, hands-on art activities, assisting artists at their booths, and more. Even just a few hours of your time makes a big difference and adds more festival fun.
Volunteer year round—Friends of Art
LFOA is organized by Friends of Art, Milwaukee Art Museum’s volunteerism-focused support group. This group meets yearly from January to June to plan the festival and coordinate onsite operations. Made up of 11 sub-committees, everyone has the opportunity to take leadership in their favorite part of LFOA.
Interested in getting involved?
Volunteering is a great way to meet fellow art lovers, support artists, and experience LFOA from the inside. To learn more about volunteering, email volunteer@mam.org.
Exhibition policy
The Milwaukee Art Museum and Friends of Art (FOA) do not receive any part of the proceeds from the sale of artwork at Lakefront Festival of Art. All art sales are strictly between the patron and the exhibitor, and because the Museum/FOA are not part of the transaction, they have no responsibility for the sale. Although FOA cannot resolve problems related to sales transactions, they are interested in your feedback and would like to know if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your purchase. Please reach out to lfoa@mam.org to share your feedback.
