Sharon Lockhart's NŌ examines the work of Japanese farmers. The static, unchanging frame of Lockhart's camera captures the meticulous and methodical execution of a mundane daily activity. Benning's 27 Years Later is a shot for shot remake of One Way Boogie Woogie, one that documents how the Milwaukee landscape has changed in the intervening years. This program is in partnership with University of Milwaukee’s Union Cinema and the Department of Film, Video, Animation and New Genres. James Benning will be in attendance.
