For Students
On Wisconsin! Performance and Museum Tour
Grades 3–5 | Oct 19, 2011 | 9:30–11:30 AM
One day only—the On Wisconsin! program is back! Students will see Wisconsin history come to life during an interactive performance by storyteller/performer Bob Kann, and in works of art from the Museum’s Collection. This program connects to state history curriculum and includes everything from artifacts and folk art to Wisconsin legends such as Harry Houdini—and even weird-but-true inventions (ice cream sundaes, anyone?). Register online or call 414-224-3842.

For Teachers
Kohl’s Color Wheels
Imagine a mobile art experience that’s like an extension of the Milwaukee Art Museum, where kids can take part in fun-filled projects that foster creativity and ingenuity, and learn through art. That’s the idea behind Kohl’s Color Wheels, a van that makes appearances at community festivals and other events throughout the summer—and visits schools in the colder months! Organizers of events with 300+ people should contact artgeneration@mam.org for booking information.
