Kohl’s Art Generation Family Sundays
Experience art with your family at Kohl’s Art Generation Family Sundays, the Museum’s lively event that happens five times a year! Enjoy hands-on art activities, interactive performances, family tours, visiting artists, and more! These events are free with Museum admission and for children twelve and under. Free for Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee with their membership card or invite sheet.
March 13, 2016: Back to Nature
Discover the beauty of the American landscape through the eyes of painters represented in Nature and the American Vision: The Hudson River School. “Hike” through the exhibition, tell stories around a “campfire”, paint a landscape from the windows of the Museum, make a nature study from a live plant, and more!
May 15, 2016: Close to Home
Investigate art that is meant to be used. Design your own chair, sculpt a vessel out of clay, and more!
July 24, 2016: Lights, Camera, ART!
Explore how paintings and movies can connect! Sketch a story, sculpt characters, and add your mark to a giant painted backdrop. Watch local actors perform, and then be a part of the scene!
