Family Sundays: Celebrating Native Art and Artists

Windhover Hall
Celebrate Indigenous cultures and creativity during this day of family fun. Explore contemporary artworks by Native artists, make art together, and meet guest artists from our region.
This drop-in experience is included with Museum admission and is free for Members. Admission is always free for kids 12 and under, thanks to Kohl’s. Come prepared for your visit by reserving tickets at the door or online.
ALL-DAY ACTIVITIES
10 AM–4 PM | Hands-on Activities
Employ techniques used by guest artist Jennifer M. Stevens to embellish clay tiles. Create collaged landscapes inspired by the artworks in Native America: In Translation. Make corn husk dolls with guest educator Kaluhyak^le Stephenie Muscavitch VanEvery, and make beaded bracelets with guest educator Benjamin Grignon.
10 AM–4 PM | Student Art Exhibition
See creations by students from Indian Community School and Menominee Indian High School in the Kohl’s Art Studio.
11 AM–3 PM | Guest Artists
Meet artists from across the region, and learn how their heritage inspires what they create.
