The Museum provides beautiful event spaces that inspire: breathtaking lake views, the ultimate in grand halls, a spacious auditorium, a lavish boardroom suite, and more. Architecture, art, and exceptional service: the Museum makes a perfect place for celebrations, special events, or meetings. The Museum has a full-time support staff to plan and execute your event. Catering is available on-site through Café Calatrava Catering.

Rental spaces
Windhover Hall
With ninety-foot high ceilings and enviable views of Lake Michigan, Windhover Hall is a magnificent and dramatic backdrop for your event and is located directly beneath the Museum’s signature element: the Burke Brise Soleil.
Lubar Auditorium
Comfortable for presentations of all types, this state-of-the-art auditorium offers an elegant, curved stage, tiered, upholstered seating for 265, and is fully equipped for your audio-visual needs.
Café Calatrava:
A brilliantly designed space that boasts 180 degrees of windows, the Café provides guests an intimate setting with spectacular views of the lakefront.
Northwestern Mutual Room and Quadracci Suite
Individually or together, these are ideal meeting spaces in the main area of the Museum. Each looks out on both Windhover Hall and the Baumgartner Terrace, and the Quadracci Suite includes a kitchenette, bathroom, and coat closet.
Baumgartner and Schroeder Gallerias
These striking, arched corridors offer unconventional yet unparalleled beauty. The Baumgartner Galleria has a sprawling view of the lake while the Schroeder Galleria looks in to downtown Milwaukee. Both provide a versatile and sophisticated atmosphere for your event.
Baumgartner Terrace
Located at the south end of the Museum with excellent views of both the lake and downtown, the Baumgartner Terrace is perfect for a relaxed, outdoor gathering.
Weddings:
Enjoy romantic lake views and a dramatic architectural backdrop to stage the wedding of your dreams. Weddings are handled in a very special way at the Milwaukee Art Museum: on the day of your wedding, the Museum is reserved exclusively for you. No other events are scheduled. You will have the full attention of the staff and access to all of the Museum's resources, from the art in the galleries to a ceremonial opening of the Burke Brise Soleil in your honor. Photo + Commercial Shoots
The Milwaukee Art Museum offers many interesting locations for commercial filming and photography. Audi, Porsche, and Pfizer Pharmaceutical are among those who have used Museum settings. Spaces are available for everything from small-scale documentaries and photo shoots to major feature films and commercials. The innovative spaces within and around the Museum provide a unique backdrop. Staff is experienced at providing technical support, and service throughout the duration of your session.
