Explore the exhibition The Brilliance of the Spanish World: El Greco, Velázquez, Zurbarán with Jacobo Lovo, Managing Artistic Director of Latino Arts, Inc. and City of Milwaukee Friend of Art (2024). Consider the artworks together through Jacobo’s lens as an educator, enthusiast, and amplifier of the Milwaukee Hispanic community’s diverse cultural arts traditions.

This drop-in experience is included with Museum admission and is free for Members. Admission tickets are available at the door or online.

About Jacobo Lovo

Headshot of Jacobo LovoJacobo Lovo is the Managing Artistic Director of Latino Arts, Inc. He received his BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design (MIAD) and his K–12 Teaching Certification from Alverno College. As an expert art educator, Jacobo led colleagues at United Community Center’s (UCC) Bruce Guadalupe Community School (BGCS), a charter school in Milwaukee, through a federal grant to promote arts integration into the reading and math curriculum. He also developed an art curriculum that has been recognized at the state and national levels by the Wisconsin Art Educators Association (WAEA), the National Art Educators Association (NAEA), and The College Board for Excellence and Innovation in the Arts.
