Museum Announces ART IN BLOOM Award Winners
Milwaukee, WI, April 15, 2008—
More than 8,000 people visited the Milwaukee Art Museum during the inaugural Art in Bloom, April 10-13, 2008. In all, 32 floral designers participated in the exhibition’s installations. Presented by the Museum’s own Garden Club, Art in Bloom also included lectures, workshops, docent-guided tours, book signings, mother-daughter teas, a multi-vendor indoor marketplace, a one-day outdoor sculpture sale, and refined dining in the Café Calatrava Garden Room.
The Museum is pleased to announce the three winners of the professionally judged Art in Bloom awards, and the popular-demand People’s Choice Awards for which more than 400 visitors cast ballots. Pam Borgardt of Mileagers in Racine and Terri Madison of the Bayside Garden Center won awards in both contests.
