Milwaukee Art Museum Launches Thursday Nights at MAM with Pay-What-You-Wish Admission

This summer, meet up with friends at the weekly event and ease into the weekend with an artful night of music and fun.

MILWAUKEE, WI—June 18, 2024—The Milwaukee Art Museum kickstarts a new summertime event series: Thursday Nights at MAM. Every Thursday beginning June 20 through August 29, 4–8 p.m., the Museum will host an evening filled with live music, cold drinks, and tasty café specials perfect for get-togethers with friends, date nights, and celebratory outings—all at a flexible pay-what-you-wish admission.

“We’re thrilled to introduce pay-what-you-wish pricing to Thursday nights at the Museum, enabling us to increase access for the community while offering the added fun of live music in Windhover Hall along with food and beverage options,” said Scott Schwebel, Chief Experience Officer. “The Milwaukee Art Museum is one-of-a-kind, and we hope to share this with as many as possible this summer.”

Thursday Nights at MAM bring together all that makes a summer evening memorable. The weekly event features opportunities to raise a glass in Windhover Hall, share a meal on the lakefront patio, and marvel at the spectacular views of downtown Milwaukee and Lake Michigan. In addition to these activations in the Quadracci Pavilion, attendees are encouraged to roam and mingle in the galleries to take in the Museum’s collection and exhibitions. Through pay-what-you-wish admission, visitors can delight in a fun night with friends at the same time as demonstrate support for the Museum at a rate accessible to them.

The Museum invites members of the press to the inaugural event this Thursday, June 20, 4–8 p.m., to share and engage in the fun. Outlets interested in attending should confirm by noon on Thursday, June 20. For interview opportunities with Scott Schwebel, outlets must contact communications@mam.org to coordinate details.
