Metropolitan Museum Curator of Northern Baroque Art Visits the Museum Thursday

One of the world’s foremost experts on Dutch art, Walter Liedtke will talk about the difficulties of untangling the attribution of works to Rembrandt and his followers, many of whom worked in a style that closely imitated the master’s. As Liedtke demonstrates, a number of important works once thought to be Rembrandt’s have now been successfully reattributed to Jan Lievens.
