Artist Amy Granat Presents “Expanded Cinema” Thursday, November 13

Amy Granat visits the Museum this Thursday in conjunction with the opening of her new installation in
Sensory Overload: Light, Motion, Sound, and the Optical in Art since 1945. Her lecture is free with general admission and begins at 6:15 p.m. in Lubar Auditorium.

New York-based Granat physically attacks her films using razors, hole punches, and other tools to create what she calls “scratch films.” “Whatever kind of assault you can make on film material, I’ve done,” explains Granat.
