The Milwaukee Art Museum and the Milwaukee Brewers work together for Masters of American Comics

Milwaukee, WI, April 25, 2006— The Milwaukee Art Museum is teaming up with the Milwaukee Brewers to kick off a summer partnership for Masters of American Comics, on view April 29 – August 13.

“Our partnership with the Milwaukee Brewers is a natural fit for the Masters of American Comics exhibition,” said David Gordon, CEO and Director of the Milwaukee Art Museum. “The synergy between America’s favorite pastime, and comics, one of America’s few indigenous art forms, make for a wonderful combination. We are planning a host of activities both at the Museum and at Miller Park.”

From family activities and shopping to art tours, special ticket savings and prizes, baseball fans and comic connoisseurs can find something that hits home this summer.

“Two of my family’s greatest passions are sports and the arts, and this is a unique opportunity to partner with the Milwaukee Art Museum in bringing the two together,” said Milwaukee Brewers Chairman and Principal Owner Mark Attanasio, who along with his wife Debbie is funding the Masters of American Comics visit to Milwaukee. “Baseball and comics are two of America’s most-loved traditions, and this exhibit will bring the two together for families to enjoy all summer long.”

Art and sports fans can look forward to the two genres merging in many ways this summer:
