Performance: Present Music Presents “The Blue Hour”
April 11, 7:30 pm–9:30 pm
Extend your experience of Idris Khan: Repeat After Me with the only U.S. presentation this year of “The Blue Hour,” a musical journey evoking the beauty and transience of life. Composers Rachel Grimes, Angelica Negron, Shara Nova, Caroline Shaw, and Sarah Kirkland Snider collaborated on the work, which is set to excerpts from Caroline Forche’s fantastical epic poem “On Earth” and among National Public Radio’s Top 10 Albums of 2022. The concert features indie singer Shara Nova of My Brightest Diamond and guest conductor Deanna Tham of the Oregon Symphony.
Doors open for the concert at 6:15 p.m. Ticket holders enjoy free admission to the Museum beginning at 10 a.m. the day of the event.
