Lakefront Festival of Art

Milwaukee’s Lakefront Festival of Art (LFOA) is celebrating 61 years! Consistently one of the most highly rated art festivals in the country, LFOA is an outdoor festival that continues, rain or shine, on the magnificent shoreline of Lake Michigan on the grounds of the Milwaukee Art Museum.

For three days, LFOA proudly features 150 professional fine artists across 15 disciplines, providing visitors with an opportunity to meet and purchase art from a wide variety of talented artists from across the country. Each year, this treasured event welcomes more than 16,000 art-loving attendees!

A panel of invited art-experts will meet in the Museum’s Lubar Auditorium on January 9, 2026 to review applications. The jury process is open to the public for observation. Artists will be notified of their acceptance status by January 16, 2026.

The Milwaukee Art Museum and Friends of Art (FOA) do not receive any part of the proceeds from the sale of artwork at Lakefront Festival of Art. All art sales are strictly between the patron and the exhibitor, and because the Museum/FOA are not part of the transaction, they have no responsibility for the sale. Although FOA cannot resolve problems related to sales transactions, they are interested in your feedback and would like to know if you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your purchase.
