Art in Bloom<\/strong> returns <strong>April 7\u201310, 2022<\/strong>, after a two-year hiatus. The popular event will feature nearly 30 art-inspired floral installations throughout the galleries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cArt in Bloom signals that spring has arrived, and we\u2019re thrilled this extraordinary event is returning,\u201d said <strong>Courtney Kihslinger, Director of Stewardship and Events, Milwaukee Art Museum<\/strong>. \u201cWe look forward to showcasing the incredible interpretations of artworks in our galleries by our area\u2019s most accomplished florists.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each arrangement at Art in Bloom is created by a local florist who is inspired by a specific work of art in the Museum\u2019s collection. Favorite works the florists will interpret this year include the paintings <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/collection.mam.org\/details.php?id=9041\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Saint Francis of Assisi in His Tomb<\/em><\/a><em> <\/em>by Francisco de Zurbar\u00e1n and<em> <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/collection.mam.org\/details.php?id=21819\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Le P\u00e8re Jacques (The Wood Gatherer)<\/em><\/a><em> <\/em>by Jules Bastien-Lepage,<em> <\/em>and the large-scale sculptural installations <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/collection.mam.org\/details.php?id=16134\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Trowel<\/em><\/a> by Claes Oldenburg and <a href=\"https:\/\/collection.mam.org\/details.php?id=2978\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Edge of England<\/em><\/a> by Cornelia Parker.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cArt in Bloom is truly an unparalleled moment when visitors can experience the ephemeral beauty of floral design in harmony with selected works of art from the Museum\u2019s collection,\u201d said <strong>Marcelle Polednik, Donna and Donald Baumgartner Director, Milwaukee Art Museum. <\/strong>&#8220;We are excited to welcome guests to celebrate the beginning of spring during this one-of-a-kind activation of our galleries.\u201d&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>Museum Members have the first opportunity to reserve tickets for the event and can make reservations at <a href=\"https:\/\/mam.org\/events\/bloom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mam.org\/bloom<\/a>. Those who are not yet Members are encouraged to join in order to secure their tickets first and receive a lower admission price. Tickets will be available to the general public on March 3.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Museum will welcome visitors while supporting a safe environment for everyone. Masks are required in the Museum for all staff and visitors, and event capacity will be limited to encourage social distancing. Timed tickets are required and must be reserved in advance. To welcome more guests, the Museum will offer expanded hours during the event weekend.
