– Milwaukee Art Museum\u2019s popular four-day event returns April 12-15 with floral art, a fashion show and family activities –<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n Milwaukee, Wis. \u2013 March 20, 2018 \u2013<\/b> Milwaukeeans will celebrate the return of spring at<\/span> Art in Bloom<\/b>, one of the Milwaukee Art Museum\u2019s most popular events, from <\/span>Thursday, April 12 through Sunday, April 15<\/b>. Presented by <\/span>Educators Credit Union<\/b>, this annual event offers visitors the chance to view and take in the scents of 40 art-inspired floral installations on display throughout the Museum. Each arrangement is inspired by a work from the Museum\u2019s collection and created by leading regional experts in gardening, as well as floral and landscape design. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe stunning colors inspired by our collection of art combined with the amazing work of our talented local floral designers, make Art in Bloom a must-see event,\u201d said <\/span>Krista Renfrew<\/b>, <\/span>Director of Special Events<\/b> at the Museum. \u201cThis event has something for everyone and visitors will leave feeling inspired for spring.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n Art in Bloom will also feature of a variety of additional activities and programs including gardening seminars, family activities and a marketplace with local vendors and artisans offering flowers, clothing, jewelry and garden accessories. Back by popular demand is the late-afternoon treat, high tea. <\/span><\/p>\n At the floral fashion show<\/span> Beauty in Bloom<\/b>, models will walk down the runway wearing gowns and accessories created out of flowers. This ticketed event held on April 14 inside Windhover Hall will include hors d\u2019oeuvres, valet parking and a cash bar. <\/span> Also on April 14, audiences will watch as three professional florists compete for the title of Iron Designer 2018 at the <\/span>Iron Design Competition<\/b>, presented by the<\/span> Milwaukee Art Museum\u2019s Garden Club<\/b>. \n<\/span>During Art in Bloom, visitors to the <\/span>Kohl\u2019s Art Generation Studio<\/b> will have the opportunity to create their own photo-collage flower arrangements. Inspired by the exhibition, <\/span>The Open Road: Photography and the American Road Trip<\/span><\/i>, children will \u201cpick\u201d flowers from the photo-garden, filled with blooms from across the American landscape. Families can cut, collage and take home their own bouquets. \u00a0The Kohl\u2019s Art Generation Studio closes one hour before the Museum. <\/span><\/p>\n
