The Museum will be offering art and creative activities for families to do together throughout the week, including activities inspired by the exhibition<em> Coming Away: Winslow Homer and England<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThanks to the generosity of Kohl\u2019s Cares, we have been able to open the Kohl\u2019s Art Generation Studio every day the Museum is open,\u201d said <strong>Brigid Globensky<\/strong>, the <strong>Barbara Brown Lee Senior Curator of Education and Programs<\/strong> at the Milwaukee Art Museum. \u201cHaving an extra day to kick off spring break is something we are very proud of.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Kohl\u2019s Art Generation Studio will feature painting, word games and other activities based on the seascapes of Winslow Homer. These hands on activities are designed both to engage children of all ages, as well as provide context that caregivers can use to connect art making to observing art in the rest of the Museum.<\/p>\n<p>The Kohl\u2019s Art Generation Studio is part of the Kohl\u2019s Art Generation program at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Since 2008, Kohl\u2019s has partnered with the Museum to provide art-making experiences to families at the Museum. In 2017, Kohl\u2019s expanded its support for kids at the Museum by underwriting free admission for all kids ages 12 and under.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Museum will be open 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018.<\/strong> The Museum\u2019s standard hours of operation\u201410 a.m. through 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, with Thursdays until 8 p.m.\u2014will continue, with the Kohl\u2019s Art Generation Studio open when the Museum opens and closing an hour before the Museum closes. <\/p>\n<p>This is the second time the Museum has been open on a Monday during the winter in 2018, the first of which was New Year\u2019s Day, celebrating resolutions tours and activities.
