Kids Get in Free Every Day at the Milwaukee Art Museum, Thanks to Kohl\u2019s<\/strong><\/h1>\n

-Kohl\u2019s support also includes daily art activities for families, complementing the popular <\/em>Kohl\u2019s Art Generation program- <\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Milwaukee, Wis. \u2013 November 8, 2017 \u2013 <\/strong>The Milwaukee Art Museum is proud to announce Kohl\u2019s is expanding its support for kids at the Museum by underwriting free admission for all kids ages 12 and under, as well as adding daily hands-on activities to the Museum\u2019s offerings.<\/p>\n

Beginning on November 1, the hands-on Kohl\u2019s Art Generation Studio at the Milwaukee Art Museum will be open every day the Museum is open\u2014from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (until 7 p.m. on Thursdays)\u2014extending the opportunity for families to make art together. The Kohl\u2019s Art Generation Studio offers a different theme and projects each month inspired by the Museum\u2019s Collection and special exhibitions.<\/p>\n

The theme for the month of November, Follow the Line, takes inspiration from the Museum\u2019s exhibition Degas to Picasso: Creating Modernism in France.<\/em> Families will sketch figures, use a printing press, and experiment with chalk pastels, charcoal and watercolors.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Kohl\u2019s Art Generation Open Studio has always been a family favorite,\u201d said Emily Sullivan, the Milwaukee Art Museum\u2019s Director of Youth and Family Programs. \u201cIt\u2019s a great way to learn about art and it\u2019s fun for both kids and grownups. And now, thanks to Kohl\u2019s, they can make art together every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Kohl\u2019s Art Generation Studio is part of the popular Kohl\u2019s Art Generation program at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Since 2008, Kohl\u2019s has partnered with the Museum to provide creative, hands-on art experiences to families at the Museum, as well as throughout the community with Kohl\u2019s Color Wheels.<\/p>\n
