First launched in 2010, Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 2,000 museums across America.<\/p>\n<p>Starting Memorial Day (May 26) and running through Labor Day (Sept 1), the Museum is open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (until 8 p.m. on Thursdays). The Museum&#8217;s summer feature exhibition, <a title=\"Exhibition homepage \" href=\"http:\/\/www.mam.org\/kandinsky\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Kandinsky: A Retrospective<\/em><\/a>, opens June 5.<br \/>\n<strong>ABOUT MILWAUKEE ART MUSEUM<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Milwaukee Art Museum houses a rich collection of over 30,000 works, with strengths in 19th- and 20th-century American and European art, contemporary art, and American decorative arts, and is the world\u2019s leading repository for work by untrained creators.
