Her work centers storytelling, human connection, and social advocacy.\u00a0In 2025\u201326, she appears at Opera Philadelphia as composer-in-residence, presents her upcoming opera <em>Le pr\u00e9sent \u00e9ternel<\/em> at the Museum of Modern Art, and joins the New York Philharmonic for its Sound On series. Other engagements include Carnegie Hall, Juilliard, Princeton Sound Kitchen, and performances with DeCoda. Joachim\u2019s landmark project <em>Fanm d\u2019Ayiti<\/em> received a Grammy nomination, and her 2024 album <em>Ki moun ou ye<\/em> was released by Nonesuch and New Amsterdam Records.
