Screening: A Girl Is a Fellow Here: 100 Women Architects in the Studio of Frank Lloyd Wright
Produced by the Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation, written and directed by Beverly Willis, FAIA.
Honor Women’s History Month with stories from Indira Berndtson (FLLW Foundation) on the often maligned Mrs. Wright, a composer, author, and speaker, as well as Wright’s helpmate for 35 years. Also hear (and see a brief documentary) about women who designed alongside Wright—three of whom still reside at Taliesin.
Dinner to follow in Café Calatrava for $60/person. Reserve your spot at 414-224-3281 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This lecture is the second in a series that features Frank Lloyd Wright scholars, talking about issues related to place, people, and time—the three components Wright associated with his organic architecture. The series is being held in conjunction with the exhibition Frank Lloyd Wright: Organic Architecture for the 21st Century.
The film screening is courtesy of The Beverly Willis Architecture Foundation.
The lecture is sponsored by the American Arts Society.
