Opening Conversation: “Currents 38: Christy Matson”
February 24, 2022, 6:00 pm
Hear from the artist herself in this conversation in Lubar Auditorium with the exhibition curator Monica Obniski, curator of decorative arts and design at Atlanta’s High Museum of Art. Seating in Lubar is reserved for Members only, with advance reservation and proof of vaccination. The conversation will be livestreamed on Facebook.
“I refer to myself as an artist, not a craftsperson, because that language term feels hyperspecific. When I think about the word ‘craft’ in relation to my practice, it’s as a verb and not a noun.” —Christy Matson
