DESCRIPTION:In Honor of Dr. Alfred Bader \nCelebrate the lasting impact of Dr. Alfred Bader\, whose passion for European art helped shape one of the Museum’s most significant collections. This special drop-in program invites visitors into the galleries to explore exceptional works from the European Collection\, acquired through Bader’s extraordinary generosity and lifelong commitment to collecting. \nAlong the way\, discover how Dr. Bader strengthened the Museum’s European Collection and expanded access to historic works that continue to inspire today. Through close looking and conversation\, this program highlights the stories behind the art\, the collectors who championed it\, and the enduring role of European art at MAM. \nThis program celebrates the legacy of Dr. Alfred Bader (April 28\, 1924–December 23\, 2018)\, whose passion for art and community continues to inspire creativity at the Museum.
