Celebrate Frank Lloyd Wright and his legacy with a two-hour tour of the famed Wisconsin-born architect’s house and grounds at Taliesin. Located in Spring Green, about two hours west of Milwaukee, Taliesin was the principal residence of Wright as a mature designer; the surrounding valley was his inspiration and lifelong design laboratory. Taliesin in its three iterations (1911, 1914, 1925) and its landscape are considered the most complete embodiment of Wright’s philosophy of organic architecture. The tour will reveal historical details of Wright’s life and highlight architectural elements that echo throughout his work.
Lunch is included and will be catered by the Riverview Terrace Café.
This Member Trip is being held in conjunction with the sesquicentennial of Frank Lloyd Wright’s birth and the exhibition at the Museum, Frank Lloyd Wright: Buildings for the Prairie, on view through October 15.
