Driving Directions


Directions to the Milwaukee Art Museum: Take I-794 E to Exit 1F on the left toward Lakefront. Turn left onto N Lincoln Memorial Drive. Turn right onto E Michigan St. Turn left onto Art Museum Drive to access the underground parking structure.

The Museum has an air conditioned/heated underground parking garage, accessible from Michigan Street or Lincoln Memorial Drive. Handicap parking available.

Public transportation


Milwaukee County Transit bus route 10 stops on Prospect Ave., across O’Donnell Park from the Museum. Routes 10, 12, 20, 23, 30, 31 and 137 serve the Downtown Transit Center on Wisconsin Ave. at Cass St., one block west of the Museum.

Ozaukee County Express route 143 runs on weekdays. It stops at the Downtown Transit Center one block west of the Museum, with service from Cedarburg, Fredonia, Grafton, Mequon, Port Washington and Saukville.

Amtrak trains serve the Milwaukee (MKE) station, 1.3 miles west of the Museum. There are 14 trains daily between Chicago and Milwaukee.


Accessibility
The Museum is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Wheelchairs, if needed, are available from the Admissions Desk. Handicapped parking is available in the underground parking garage. Backpack baby carriers are not permitted in the galleries. Service animals and Segways used for mobility are welcome at the Milwaukee Art Museum.


Biking
Bike racks are available on the Museum grounds. The Oak Leaf bike trail passes right alongside the Museum.
