Two young girls creating a clay sculpture together

Kohl’s Family Sundays: Sculpture

Enjoy a special online version of our popular family event! Learn about three-dimensional art in the Museum’s collection—in the galleries and outside—and get inspired to make your own creations. Create a “glass” sculpture with plastic containers, a mixed-media animal with found objects, and a unique vessel from clay. Meet Wisconsin artists, and learn about their favorite materials and methods. Dance along with local performer Shante James, and see a performance by Wild Space Dance Company. We want to see what YOU make! Share your Family Sundays–inspired art by tagging @MilwaukeeArt and using #MAMStudioAtHome on social media.

Clay Vessel

Brett teaches how to build with clay, inspired by a pig stein in the Museum’s collection.

Materials: air-dry clay; clay modeling tools, OR DIY tools like toothpick, pencil, fork, markers; plastic or paper cup to build clay around

Explore expressions through dance with inspiring performances from Wisconsin dancers.
