Film Series: American Epics on the Silver Screen: The Kentuckian

Kick off your Friday evenings in July with a series of not-to-be-missed classic films that are featured in the exhibition American Epics: Thomas Hart Benton and Hollywood and that inspired the painter's artistic vision, including his Hollywood commissions. All films will be screened in Lubar Auditorium and include a brief introduction by Museum staff.

The Kentuckian (1955)
A Kentucky widower leaves with his young son for Texas in the 1820s but is thwarted by a corrupt constable, a long-standing family feud, and a beautiful indentured servant.
