Social X Panel Discussion: Being and Thriving: Cultivating Spaces for People of Color

Social X welcomes Milwaukee’s young professionals to the Museum for a panel discussion, as part of their 5th Annual Homecoming Week, about community advancement and cultivating spaces for people of color. Hear from each panelist to learn how they foster creativity, entrepreneurship, and more. After the discussion, explore the Museum exhibitions On Site: Derrick Adams: Our Time Together and Always New: The Posters of Jules Chéret.

This event is free to attend; Museum admission is not required. Drinks and light appetizers will be served.

 

Panelists include Deshea Agee, Bronzeville Advisory Committee; Marcell Jackson, Ambition Center; Jacobo Lovo, Latino Arts, Inc.; and Dr. Stacia Thompson, Sherman Phoenix Foundation.

5–6 p.m. Registration and networking
6–7:15 p.m. Panel discussion
7:15–8 p.m. Exhibition tours and networking

Event attendees are encouraged to wear masks while inside the Museum. This recommendation follows CDC guidance for counties with a high COVID-19 community level.
