Join the lakefront party at your art museum to play, dance, explore, and unwind with family and friends. Enjoy free activities inspired by the exhibition On Site: Derrick Adams: Our Time Together, which honors and celebrates everyday Black life and leisure in Milwaukee.

Rain or shine, have a full day of fun across the Museum’s campus with activities provided by local Black-owned businesses.

 

Schedule

Bingo | 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Mark off boxes as you complete activities on a self-guided bingo adventure. Finish four in a row and return your sheet to the registration table by 3 p.m. to enter the prize drawing. Prizes include a Bronze Box, a private tour, and a Museum membership.

DJ | 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Move to the music as DJ O fills Windhover Hall with sound.

Food Trucks | 11 a.m.–3 p.m. See what’s cooking at the food trucks Bebe’s Bistro, Karol’s Kitchen, and Sweet Crush parked on N. Art Museum Drive.

Art Making | 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Stop by the Kohl’s Art Studio stations in Schroeder Galleria to create your own artwork.

Face Painting | 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Express yourself with complimentary face painting provided by Noah’s Art in Schroeder Galleria.

Yoga | 11 a.m.–noon Enjoy views of Lake Michigan during an all-levels yoga class led by Embody Yoga in Windhover Hall. Bring a bottle of water and your yoga mat. A limited number of yoga mats will be available for drop-ins.

Line Dancing | noon–1 p.m. Gather in Windhover Hall to dance with Milwaukee’s Desiree “Butterfly” Morton.

Gallery Tours | noon, 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. Meet in Schroeder Galleria to embark on one of three guided gallery tours led by a Museum docent.

High Tea | noon and 2 p.m. Sit down with Not Your Mama’s Tea on the East End. Drop into one of the two experiences centered on togetherness and conversation.

Sound Healing | noon–3 p.m. Take a moment to relax and unwind by dropping into sound healing guided by Melissa Blue Muhammad in the Kohl’s Haitian Gallery.

Spades Tournament | 12:30 p.m.–2 p.m. Meet at the Museum Store entrance to take part in the tournament and compete for bragging rights. End time is dependent upon the number of participating teams. Space is limited.
