Please join the Museum’s American Arts Society (AAS) for an exploration into the conservation issues specific to American folk art.
Attendees will tour Uncommon Folk: Traditions in American Art with the Museum's exhibition curator, Margaret Andera, and then hear from keynote speaker David Schorsch, a specialist in American folk art, in a lecture in Lubar Auditorium. A tour of the Conservation Lab and a presentation on some of the conservation issues specific to objects included in Uncommon Folk will follow. The day will conclude with a boxed lunch from Café Calatrava.
