Discover the many faces of portraiture. Gather inspiration for creating your own artworks from the portraits of people and animals in the Museum’s collection. Learn to draw facial features, make an expressionist portrait, sculpt a head, and more during this activity-filled day.

Stop by the studio to create art inspired by the artwork in the Museum. A different collection or exhibition is featured each month, and the activities are always changing!
January: Winter Garden
Head to the Museum and forget those winter blues! Take a stroll through Nature and Opulence: The Art of Martin Johnson Heade and escape into the warm tropical landscapes and discover exotic plants and birds. Then draw from live plants, study insects, and build a snow-white floral sculpture in the studio. Even add to a community mural that will be displayed at Penfield Montessori Academy!
